I started this quilt about 4 years ago, I think..
It consists of 81 block divided in 9 panels. I made 4 panels then stopped working on it because I didn't have enough fabrics to work with.
Finally, I've saved enough (a lot, actually) fabric scraps to continue this project.
No, it's not my design, I found the pattern in my mother's quilt book and made notes.
I like it because I really like Ohio Star block, it's my favorite block.
I have a simple design wall made from felts (easy to make and cheap too), but this quilt is bigger than that design wall, so have to use and arrange all the blocks on the floor ;)
Making this kind of quilt is a great project to learn and practice your knowledge on color values, light/medium/dark, fabrics motifs, which work well together or not, etc.
Taadaa...! Now it's waiting to be hand-quilted (there's a queue and it's quite long). I know it will a great quilt when it's finished.
