My oldest quilting friend

About 3 years ago I met a sweet lady, she wanted to learn patchwork and quilting.
I was taken aback by her enthusiasm, and excited all the same.
She cannot use the sewing machine, hand sewing it is then.
I taught her the simple 4 patches blocks, she made a quilt.
I taught her 9 patches blocks, she made a quilt.
I taught her big hexagon blocks, she made several quilts.
I taught her big triangle blocks, she also made 2 quilts.

All the quilts she made was for families and friends.
Last year she fell and the doctor told her that her arms need to rest. She asked me to make a quilt for her. I made this simple Double Irish Chain quilt.

Now that her arms have healed, she asked for a kit of this quilt, she wanted to make it herself.
I really admired this sweet friend of mine.
She is 78 years young.
