Hand Sampler 2009 - 2010
I learned this sampler from my sensei, Yoshiko Jizenji, finished in 2 years. Her patchwork course scheduled here in Jakarta, Indonesia, only 3-4 times a year. I learned a lot! ^^
I thought I was a patient gal, when my sensei saw me sew, I was soo fired up, hand stitching vigourously and made puckered all along the stitch line, she said one thing I will never forget, 'Patchwork is a Leisure Art, you should stitch leisurely and enjoy....'.
Then I thought I was a clever gal, so I asked 'why' every time she explained about color and motifs, sensei said this to me, 'You cannot ask 'why' when you want to learn about art. Because it involve 'feeling' and 'sense'. Train your feeling and sense to see the beauty of color and motifs combination...'.
Now, I have learned the joy of hand stitching leisurely.
Now, I am still learning and training my 'feeling' and 'sense' to make beautiful combination of colors and motif in my quilts.
Thank you sensei....
